CONCEPT

STEPHEN HAWKING SANCTUARY

As one passes through each room, one constantly experiences the change in the environment and has to adapt. The slim pathway leading from the last room to the exit is not straight and the width and height of the pathways is also changing. The wall closer to center of the site, adjacent to the ramp is double, because the top edges of the walls go in opposite directions, thus creating another change. On the ground level, around the sanctuary is a glass and concrete fence. The triangular walls that you see surrounding the site are actually holder for the glass. By being triangular they provide the idea of what is inside of the sanctuary.
